Care Quality Commission consults on new registration standards

June 17, 2009

The Care Quality Commission has announced changes to the way that health and social care will be regulated and are consulting on the changes, with a cut-off date for responses of 24th August. CQC will be holding a series of regional consultation events and details of these can be accessed at Events.

In addition the ASL will be holding a members' consultation day in order to inform our own response. Details of this will be published shortly and all members will be emailed with the details. To examine their proposals, please click on the link below: Consultations on the New Registration Standards

NEW: A summary of the consultation guidance. This will make it easier for you to understand what is proposed. Many thanks to Dave Glover of United Response for producing it. Click here to download the summary.
